NC Writers' Network and their blog, the White Cross School Blog. gives established and emerging writers access to state-wide conferences, workshops, residencies, contests, jobs and more! Membership is $75 a year, less for students/seniors. I've been a member for over 5 years and the NCWN has been invaluable to me and my career.

 

A Place for Women to Gather and Wellsprings of Wisdom  Not-for-profit ministries sponsored by the Sisters of the Holy Cross.  A Place for Women to Gather provides a welcoming place, programs and services to foster spiritual and human growth development for women.  Wellsprings of Wisdom provides programs and services that foster a positive, conscious, transformative experience of aging for men and women in their mature years.

 

Morning Glory Center for Creative Healing provides traditional psychotherapy and expressive arts therapy: visual arts, creative movement, creative writing, journaling and storytelling.  They offer workshops and retreats and they are located in historic downtown Wake Forest.

 

Coffee and Contacts: Power Networking for Women provides women business owners and entrepreneurs a place to network, gather for seminars and exchange information and referrals. I've been a member of this group for over a year and it's made such a positive difference in my life.

 

Quail Ridge Books, Raleigh's independent bookstore where readers meet authors! These booksellers know their stuff.
