Poet and singer-songwriter Alice Osborn of Raleigh, North Carolina, (www.aliceosborn.com) will read selections from her book, Heroes without Capes, as well as play her favorite original songs about the American West and Manifest Destiny.  Heroes without Capes is her most recent collection of poetry; an accomplished poet and American history buff, Alice’s acoustic originals are influenced by Celtic, bluegrass, and folk, and frequently return to the themes of home, yearning, and identity.

Townie Books is located adjacent to Rumors Coffee and Tea House in downtown Crested Butte, and they offer the newest titles in fiction and non-fiction as well as an extensive selection of children’s books and books with Colorado specific themes. The cafe adds a cozy inviting atmosphere to enjoy browsing the books, sipping some tea or surfing the web.
